Pook Watches, founded in 2018 from Eastern Finland, has signed a significant cooperation agreement with Moomin Characters. The first to be released is a series of three watches whose preorder has started.. Moomins are timeless, world-renowned characters created by beloved artist and author Tove Jansson. Moomins are adventuring in their own world, where the sea and nature are a very important element. Therefore, it is very natural that the Moomins and the Pookwatches found each other.
\nMoomin Characters Oy Ltd is the official copyright manager for Moomin characters. Moomins are one of Finland’s largest export products and have a worldwide fan base. Tove
\nJansson (1914\u20132001) wrote and illustrated several Moomin novels and hundreds of comics over the years.
\nBetween 1945 and 1980. Tove Jansson founded Moomin Characters Oy Ltd in the 1950s together with her brother Lars Jansson to take care of the copyrights of Moomin characters, and it is still a family business.
\nAndreas Prepula, who designs Pook’s watches, has spent the last few months planning a set of watches that will make high-quality Finnish Moomin watches even more accessible. The team of Moomin Characters has also been involved in the design of the watches. The watches cost 495 euros \/ each (incl. Fi.vat.).
\nAll of Pook’s watches are designed by Andreas Prepula from Liper, and the watches are assembled in Joensuu by Andreas and an experienced watchmaker Jani Ikonen.
\nEquipped with a durable Japanese automatic movement and a sturdy steel body, these Moomin watches are available in three different models, each of which is only available in a limited edition of 100 pieces. The watches have a 3-year warranty.<\/p>\n
