AMORPHIS TO CO-OPERATE WITH EASTERN FINLAND POOK WATCHES <\/strong><\/p>\n

Amorphis<\/strong>, the Finnish giant of the heavy metal, has made a new Halo album. A watch called Pook On The Dark Waters was released on January 28th 2022, at the same day that single \u201cOn the Dark Waters\u201d from new album was also released.<\/p>\n

Santeri Kallio<\/strong> from Amorphis states that<\/p>\n

What exactly is it about? <\/strong><\/p>\n

Esa Holopainen<\/strong>, a founding member of Amorphis, sheds light on the backgrounds of the watch:<\/p>\n

For myself, watches have become a great hobby for a long time. Quite often I find myself talking to familiar and unfamiliar people about watches and their features. Watch enthusiasts are simply top notch people. The watches themselves are stunning and marvelous masterpieces of fine mechanics. The watch can be a mere timepiece, a tool, a piece of jewelry, a statement, or all of these together. These nouns come together in the Amorphis \u201cOn The Dark Waters\u201d watch, created in collaboration with Pook Watches<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

It was important to us that the movement is automatic. The watch frame size (38.5mm) is also classic and suitable for almost everybody. As a heart of the watch is the Japanese Miyota 8215 movement, which endures even the toughest tours and dives. And when Andreas<\/strong> even managed to create a wonderful Kalevala atmosphere on the dial, making it look like ours, it feels very \u00a0satisfying. \u201cOn The Dark Waters\u201d is for sure going to get plenty of wrist time.<\/p>\n

The watch has been designed in collaboration with Amorphis by Andreas Prepula, who is responsible for designing all the watches at Pook Watches. The body of the watch is made of stainless steel, and the vital component selections have been made with the idea ensuring the watch going for a long time. The watches are assembled in Joensuu and they have an exceptionally long 3-year warranty. The long life of the watch is guaranteed by the fact that this watch can also be easily serviced again and again by a watchsmith. Suitable elements and Amorphis-specific details combine all together in design of the watch. We wanted a visual outcome that was just right for the song, and with the dark sunburst dial, we got it. Deliveries of the watches will begin in the spring of 2022 The watches will be made in limited edition, and each package will have a greeting signed by the band.<\/p>\n
